Prayer For Corn is part of the greater Mesoamerican field study exploring the food ways, rituals, and religiosity of the Aztecs and Mayans, specifically their worship of and reliance on corn, as well as the dominance of political corruption and it’s affects on the availability of human commodities. Each piece in this collection has been an exploration of familial ties within a Mesoamerican context and the relational significance between nature and humans.
