Prayer for Corn was part of a broader Mesoamerican series exploring the foodways, rituals, and religiosity of the Aztecs and Mayans. The collection focused specifically on their worship of and reliance on corn, while addressing the modern weight of political corruption and its effects on essential human commodities. Each piece in this series also explored familial ties within a Mesoamerican context and the deep relational significance between humanity and nature.
