Remnants study, 2025
Remnants study began as an exploration of woven fragmentary mark making. Using plain white paper, acrylic ink, and oil pastels, quick marks and gestures were my approach, avoiding the desire to scrutinize or limit expression. Overthinking destroys discovery. Mistakes, or at least what may be perceived to be, are the trace elements of creative mineralogy.
