About the Work
Expansion. Taking in what serves. The subtle rise of hope. At the top of the breath exists a fleeting moment of openness—a sense of possibility, vitality, and quiet joy.
Breathe is a reminder to return to the body, to stillness, and to oneself.
I think we learn to inhale properly before we learn the art of exhalation. To soothe our nervous system, a deep inhale comes naturally. In pain and grief, we gasp and draw air in quickly, reaching for the essence of joy and exhilaration that lives at the top of the breath. We inhale to reconnect with the divine. We exhale to understand the depths of the soul.
Part of the Breathwork series, Breathe reflects on the subtle and often unexpected relationship we have with our breath as both a physical necessity and a simple practice of returning to alignment. A pause. A reset. An invitation to begin again.
