About the Work
Dense indigo field intersected by fragmented linear elements, suggestive of a once-intact woven structure. Frayed edges and irregular breaks indicate long exposure and partial loss through wear.
Fragments of woven mats and textiles are often discovered in burial sites and domestic spaces, their fibers carrying both practical use and symbolic meaning. Though frayed, they retain memory—of hands that wove them, of rituals performed upon them, of bodies that once rested on their surface. This work echoes those remnants: a visual record of time unraveling yet still holding.
