About the Work
A matrix of white impressions spans a darkened ground, recalling the residue of a woven textile. Its fractured geometry suggests a structure once whole, now fragmented through pressure, wear, and loss. Along the lower edge, incised marks read as the faint afterimage of tool work or repeated contact, lending the surface the quality of a weathered relic.

Archaeological textiles are sometimes recovered as impressions—a ghost grid pressed into soil or mineralized against stone. The fractured geometry here recalls that kind of preservation: a once-whole structure surviving only as residual pattern. Incised marks along the lower edge suggest contact or repeated use, leaving behind a surface that feels both fragile and enduring, a relic of human touch.
