Each work considers memory as a kind of delayed photographic development, retaining traces of color, atmosphere, and observation while allowing the original image to shift to express an intimate detail, rather than a broader view.

Artist Note
A trip to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado—an incredible forest of towering rock formations—inspired my initial desire to capture the landscape through memory. However, over time, this work became a study in contrasting elements, as seen in the electric-blue through line that heightens the intensity of an otherwise earthy and subtle palette.
Nature speaks to us in different ways, and these pieces represent that unique communion. Those who enter nature’s temple to retreat, listen, and be rejuvenated will understand and align most closely with this body of work.
Where to Situate This Work
My work seeks to rejuvenate the spaces it inhabits. Rather than functioning simply as decoration, each piece is intended to actively participate in its environment, shaping the atmosphere of a room and the experience of those within it.
Because these pieces embody a sense of movement and energetic resonance, they are particularly well suited to communal spaces.
In the Home: They offer a centerpiece for conversation and are well suited to spaces where people gather regularly.
In the Office: They provide an eye-catching pop of color that can encourage friendly, trust-building conversation.
From my Southern California studio, I create original abstract paintings and atmospheric art for those thoughtfully cultivating spaces that feel like sanctuaries—places of restoration, growth, and retreat.
